If you are starting from zero, three months is not enough
Going from no French to NCLC 7 takes roughly 600 to 900 hours — twelve to eighteen months at eight to twelve hours a week. We say so plainly in the beginner guide, and it would be strange to say it there and then sell you a three-month plan as though it were enough.
So the 12-month plan exists for people in that position, and it costs less per month than either of the others. If you already speak some French and are aiming at an exam this season, three months is the right size and you should not pay for a year.
The beginner course is included in every plan. The 12-month option is not a different product — it is the same one, for the length of time the job actually takes.
